About Dream Mattress
Dream Mattress publishes mattress reviews and guides written from the manufacturer’s own published specifications and documentation. We do not sleep on the mattresses we review, and every review says so.
What this site is
A mattress listing gives you a height, a firmness word, a list of layers, a foam density or a coil count, a trial period and a warranty, and leaves you to work out whether any of it matters for how you sleep. The reviews here take one model at a time and read those numbers for what they imply: whether a 10-inch all-foam bed will bottom out under a heavier side sleeper, whether “medium firm” from this brand is the same as from that one, whether a 3-pound foam density is a five-year mattress or a ten-year one.
Alongside the reviews the site carries guides — on mattress types, sizes, firmness, how to choose and how long a mattress lasts — written from the same sources.
The site covers memory foam mattresses, hybrid mattresses, latex mattresses, innerspring mattresses, gel & cooling mattresses, bed-in-a-box mattresses, adjustable & smart mattresses, air mattresses & airbeds, mattress toppers & pads, crib & kids mattresses, waterbed mattresses and bed frames & adjustable bases mattresses and the things you sleep on. Each review sits in one of those categories, and the categories are what the navigation is built around.
What we do not do
We do not sleep on mattresses, press them, measure sinkage, drop bowling balls on them or time how long a bed-in-a-box takes to expand. No mattress described here has been in a bedroom of ours. A review on this site is a reading of what the manufacturer publishes, written for someone deciding whether that model fits the way they sleep and the bed they have, and we would rather say that plainly than imply hands-on experience we do not have.
We do not publish star ratings, review counts, or exact prices. Where a manufacturer has not published a specification, a review says so instead of guessing.
Who writes this
Alex Reed, Editor, is the byline on every review. Alex is an editorial name rather than a person you could look up, and we would rather say so than let a fabricated biography do work it has not earned. There are no trade credentials behind it, and there should not be: a site that states on every page that it does not sleep on mattresses and the things you sleep on has no business presenting an expert as its author.
What stands behind a review is the method, which is written down, and the manufacturer’s published figures, which you can check.
What changed in 2026
For its first year this site reviewed whatever appeared under a mattress search, which meant protectors, sheets, pillows, air pumps, waterbed heaters and even a pet bed were reviewed alongside mattresses. In September 2026 we went through all 935 pages and removed 62 from search — mattress protectors and encasements, sheets and pillows, storage bags, air pumps and patch kits, waterbed heaters and conditioners, bassinets and cribs, bed pads, a pet bed and aquarium water treatments. The 873 pages that remain are mattresses and the things you sleep on. The removed pages still exist for anyone who arrives at them, but they are no longer what this site is about and we no longer ask search engines to index them.

Corrections
If a specification in a review is wrong — the manufacturer restated it, the listing changed, or we misread it — it is worth more to us to know than to look right. The contact page says what makes a correction actionable.
